Boreanaz: More 'Bones' to shoot in UK

David Boreanaz has said that the Bones writers are planning to film more episodes of the US drama in the UK.
The cast and crew spent three weeks in London and Oxford in June 2008, shooting a two-part special where Boreanaz's character Booth assisted Scotland Yard in solving the mystery of a body found floating on the River Thames.

He told Radio 1: "We were talking to the Sky people yesterday and I suggested that maybe we come over. They said, 'Yeah, sure you guys come over', so I asked, 'Will you guys fund it?'. And they said, 'Yeah sure we'll fund it'.
"So hopefully at the end of season sweeps or maybe a season finale we'll come over and shoot again. I'd love that."
The actor, who directed the show's season three episode 'The Bones That Foam', admitted that he'd also like to try his hands at helming Damages.

"It's a really good series because all the characters have stuff going on where you don't really know what's going to happen. I love that show a lot."

Stephen Fry recently returned to Bones as Dr Gordon Wyatt.

Bones is renewed for a Fifth & Sixth season !

Fox and sister 20th Century Fox TV have finally finalized a two-year deal to bring "Bones" back for fall.
In what has become a common tale this upfront season, pact to renew "Bones" was held up as both sides haggled a new license fee for the show (Daily Variety, May 15).

"Bones" is entering its fifth season this fall -- the year in which dramatic license fee increases are usually triggered, as studios look to recoup their early costs. Since both Fox and 20th are News Corp. companies, the price isn't as big an issue as what it means for the show's profit participants. Given that self-dealing lawsuits are commonplace, the studio and network wanted to make sure a deal was in place that could be signed off by everyone. The "Bones" deal repped the toughest negotiation between studio and network so far in the new News Corp. reporting structure.

With the departure of Peter Chernin, who had overseen both sides, the studio and network now have separate reports. "Bones" exec producer Hart Hanson broke the news of the show's renewal via his Twitter account. Hanson, who said he had received news of the pickup from a Fox exec, had earlier expressed confidence that a deal would be made. "Business is business," he said. "It takes a while to get all of the major players on the same page.

Tough business." "Bones" was never really in danger of not returning. Show has helped Fox finally develop a scripted series pulse on Thursday nights for the first time in years. But 20th did do its due diligence in recent weeks, contacting other networks to see how much they would pay for "Bones" -- under the assumption that they were looking for the show's fair market value.

I found another interesting Bones spoiler from Kristin at E! Online. It seems that there’s some discussion around whether or not Brennan still will want to have a baby. We also get to hear from one of last season’s recurring guest stars, Nichole Hiltz, who played Roxie. Check this out:
Annie in Albuquerque, N.M.: Brennan was so on the baby train last season on Bones! How can she be going back now? Kristin: She’s not going back as much as she’s staying undecided and unpredictable. (All the better to torture us with!) As Bones star Emily Deschanel told us when she was at the Monte Carlo TV Fest last week, “I loved the fact that Brennan was adamant about not having children, because with so many female characters it’s just a given that they want children, and I think that is a wonderful choice. I think its important to have people represented who have made the choice not to have children. But I also love and respect the fact that she’s unpredictable, and she did make that decision that she wanted to have children. These characters are so unpredictable, they have contradictions, and that was one thing I loved from the beginning of the show.” Matt in Boise, Idaho: Will Angela’s old flame Roxie return to Bones next season? Kristin: We caught up with Roxie (Nichole Hiltz) herself at the Los Angeles Times’ Envelope Emmy screening series, where she told us that she will not be back on Bones: “Not that I know of, unfortunately, but I loved being on that show. I loved playing that part. I wish it had gone on longer and been fleshed out a little bit more. Michaela Conlin is honestly one of the sweetest, loveliest girls I’ve ever worked with. There was no awkwardness whatsoever. I had a great time on that show. It’s a good cast.” [Source: E! Online]

I know we have a couple of months to wait before season 5 of Bones begins, but the spoilers have already started to trickle in. Here is one from Kristin at E! Online that tells us about Booth’s brother Jared:
Mari: I need some Bones scoop! Will Booth’s brother be back? Kristin: We caught up with Brendan Fehr at the golf classic this morning, and he told us, “As far as I’m told, I will be back. I don’t know how many episodes. I don’t know in what capacity or anything like that, but I have been told that I can expect a little bit of employment in the upcoming season.” Since Booth is in recovery, Fehr thinks it would be interesting for him to fill in for Booth, and maybe even attempt to sweep Bones off her feet again. “I suppose he does stand a chance [with her]. He’s a fairly handsome guy,” joked Brendan, “but ultimately it’s Seeley and Bones’ deal.” [Source: E! Online]
And here’s a spoiler from Michael Ausiello at EW. He lets us in (just a tiny bit) on what to expect betweeen Booth & Brennan in season 5:
Question: So, how’s about a little Bones scoop? I heard that Booth does remember who Bones is, but he thinks that his dream was real, so he’s just confused. Any truth to that? –Esther Ausiello: Sounds like a question for exec producer Hart Hanson. “Booth’s problem isn’t remembering who Brennan is,” he tells me, “it’s remembering which Brennan she is.” Sneaky!
